Vector Geomatics produces various levels of maps and construction plan drawings for our clients.

Most mapping and drafting products are used to facilitate oil & gas applications to the Oil & Gas Commission as well as detailed sketch plans for engineers and environmental companies.

Project Area Maps, or Composite Maps, use aerial photography combined with a more detailed BC Base map to produce an overall representation of the surrounding areas with many permits and parcels identified for various interest groups.

Vector Geomatics delivers its high quality mapping directly to you, the customer, through various web-based applications and products. Powered by ArcGIS Server, Vector will soon be able to allow clients to browse our mapping data and query mapping information in real time from our mapping database.

Other online products include our proprietary Geographic calculator that allows staff and clients to perform complex calculations used in the oil & gas industry including conversions between UTM and Geographic coordinates to DMS (degrees, minutes, seconds), Decimal Degrees, or Decimal Minutes (for helicopter use).
This online program also allows the preparation of a printable version of conversions showing calculated offsets from NTS & Township grids*, Ellipsoidal Height, Convergence, Combined Scale Factors and BCGS & NTS locations.

*Township grid is based on theoretical data provided by the Government of British Columbia and may be subject to change upon actual field surveys.
